Naismith to Kansas Hall of Fame

jnaismith-tuxJames Naismith, inventor of basketball and the first basketball coach at the University of Kansas, will be inducted into the Kansas Hall of Fame on June 21st in a ceremony in Topeka, Kansas.

This is the third annual induction ceremony for the Kansas Hall of Fame which will be held at the White Concert Hall on the Washburn campus, 17th and Jewell in Topeka. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21st. Tickets maybe purchased for the ceremony through the Eventbrite website.

Other honorees this year include the 1st Kansas Colored Infantry, Drs. C.F., Will and Karl Menninger, the rock band Kansas, and the fictional character from Smallville, Kansas, Clark Kent or Superman.
